As part of DreamMaker, we are committed to engaging with communities through direct local and international programs and initiatives and philanthropy. Sample activities include:
COVID Help for First Responders
Mask and Shield Project: The DreamMaker team united during 2020-2021 to source masks during a time when masks were hard to obtain and distribute them to local hospitals in the San Francisco Bay area. Leveraging our community of volunteers and builders, DreamMakers created face shields and distributed them to hard hit areas in the Bay that were in need of extra PPE including first responders.
Hurricane Maria Response in Puerto Rico
Power4PR - Generator Distribution: When hurricane Maria hit Puerto Rico, their infrastructure was heavily damaged and a large portion of their power grid was completely demolished, estimating to impact power for up to a year. DreamMakers jumped into action, and helped raise funds for, obtain, and distribute generators to Puerto Ricans post Maria.
